Martha’s Vineyard is divided into up-island and down-island. Up-island includes the more rural towns of Aquinnah, Menemsha, Chilmark (location of the wedding) and West Tisbury; "down-island" encompasses the more populous towns of Edgartown,Oak Bluffs and Vineyard Haven (also known as Tisbury).
